Shake Weight is a new workout tool that combines velocity and dynamic inertia with a dumbbell. Shake Weight dramatically increases muscle activity and is 7 times more effective than standard dumbbells. In just 6 minutes with shake weight you can achieve a muscle burning workout that would take 42 minutes with regular weights.
Shake Weight weighs only 5 lbs and its unique design can make your muscles contract up to 240 times per minute. Shake Weight enables you to work your Chest, Biceps, Triceps and Shoulders in just 6 minutes a day. Shake Weight comes with a free Upper Body Sculpting workout DVD.

I don’t think I could use that thing without erupting in hysterics. On a serious note, the Shake Weight gets a big thumbs down from me. For a start, one of their facts’ is bogus: contrary to their assertion, lifting a dumbbell works way more than just one muscle in one direction. Anyone lifting a sufficiently heavy dumbbell will find that out fairly quickly. I strength-train twice a week (I love it!) and no matter how much it shakes around, a 2.5lb (or even a 5lb) glorified dumbell isn’t going to do very much to improve anything at all. To increase strength, increase fat-burning muscle, and achieve toning’ (read: fat loss) it’s necessary to increase the weight. I didn’t see the facility to do that with the Shake Weight. Everyone does need to start somewhere, but one 2.5lb non-adjustable weight is a joke. I’m not particularly strong, and I’ve been ill recently so not training that much, and the other day I bench-pressed a pair of 26lb dumbells for three sets of ten. I felt it! No gimmick required! What a waste of money.I also run this weekend I did a new route but forgot to check the distance before I set off. A quick look at the map and I thought it would be about 4 to 4.5 miles. Turns out it’s more like 6. I had to walk after 5.5 miles, and I was exhausted for the rest of the day, so that was a bit of a miserable failure!
We actually saw this at Bed Bath & Beyond last night. Not unexpectedly, my boyfriend, who has the perverted mind of a 15-year-old, immediately picked it up and started making jokes. All jokes aside, I would never buy this. Any of these so-called groundbreaking products are going to disappoint as nothing out there is as magical as the sellers make them to be. Personally, I do cardio 5 times a week and strength training twice a week. It’s your traditional running, elliptical, and biking; plus squats, 5-lb dumbbells (my upper body has a long way to go as far as strength), scissor kicks and dirty dog lifts (or anything that’ll work my outer thighs), various crunches, and some of the machines at the gym. Then there’s also the very important component of a healthy diet. The whole program has worked wonders for me. I am only trying to lose about 5-10 lbs total and so far, I’ve already lost 5 lbs in about 1 month.
I bought the Shake Weights the other day at Sports Authority. They are a really weird piece of work out equipment, but wow do they work….
The product is very good. You can feel how the muscles are burning. Try it yourself if you don’t believe me.
Shake Weight helped me work with my muscles fast and effective. I just take 9 minutes a day to do exercise with it and my muscles are burning. The results are really good. Go try yourself if you don’t believe me.
